Lito Children's Wear began in 1973 as a children's special occasion apparel boutique based in Long Beach, California. It was the brainchild of Tom and Jenny Lee, a young couple in pursuit of their American dream. Soon after the store opened, the Lees discovered that there were very few suppliers for this market segment and began designing and manufacturing their own line to sell in the store. Jenny worked as designer/seamstress while Tom handled the business side.

In 1974, the Lees decided to close their Long Beach shop in order to focus exclusively on production and wholesale. They decided to house their facility near the Los Angeles Fashion District for its pulse on the most up-to-date fashion trends for the infant and toddler set as well as its proximity to the world's finest textiles.

As business grew, the Lees hired professionally trained designers and local skilled workers to handle increased production. In the 90s, Tom and Jenny's two sons joined the family trade to provide additional business acumen and technical support. With their help, Lito was able to expand its product lines and implement effective marketing strategies to reach global customers. Today, Lito is proud to carry three distinct lines that encompass the entire spectrum of the children's special occasion apparel and accessories market.
